I toured the “Concord” by Homes by Vanderbuilt while on a recent trip to Sanford, North Carolina. The exterior of this home features classic cape cod-style architectural appeal. These can’t-miss classic cape cod characteristics include the steep, side-gabled roofs with overhangs. The gabled dormers also add unmatched appeal to the cape cod-style home.
The home includes contrasting navy and tan siding with white accents lining the covered front porch and windows. The impressive front porch partially wraps around the home in an L-shape.
The tan siding continues as you venture around the home to the side and back yard. A back door coming off the utility room offers access to the side yard. An additional door is located at the back of the home just off the living area. It is clear from just the exterior that this home is flooded with natural light.

The living room is incredibly expansive. Natural light pours in from the four large picture frame windows lining the far wall. Carpet flooring and recessed lighting extend through the space.

In addition to the formal dining room, the home also boasts a separate breakfast area. The 12’9” x 12’1” breakfast area separates the kitchen from the living area. This space is perfect for a quick breakfast or an easy-going family meal.
Just off the breakfast area is a door to access the backyard.

A convenient powder room is located just off the breakfast room, across from the laundry room. The bathroom includes a polished, single vanity. The location of the powder bath is ideal for guest use since it is just off the kitchen. Just beyond, a convenient door grants access to the home’s side yard.

The home features a massive master suite that rivals anything I’ve seen in the past. The bedroom itself measures 22’9”x16’4” and features carpet flooring, crown molding, and baseboard trim.
Take in backyard scenery with ease thanks to windows that line the far wall of the bedroom. Easily fit a king-sized bed, loveseat, and more with ease in this oversized bedroom. The expansive walk-in closet is located just beyond and includes built-in hanging racks.
The Master Bathroom
The Master bathroom boasts a double vanity, tile-surround shower, and water closet. The walk-in, curbless shower features a built-in bench, a removable shower head, and a rainfall shower head.
A transom window is located just above the shower and casts natural light into the bathroom. In addition to the cabinet storage provided by the double vanity, there is also a built-in linen closet.
Additional Bedrooms
Two additional bedrooms make up the entry level of the home. Both bedrooms are oversized and include windows facing the front yard of the home. The first bedroom measures 17’13”x13’0” and features carpet flooring.
Double doors lead to a closet space with a built-in hanging rack. The second bedroom measures 13’10”x13’0”. The bedroom also features carpet flooring and convenient closet space. Both bedrooms share a hall bathroom located a few steps down the hall.
Hall Bathroom
The shared hall bathroom includes a double vanity, tubbed shower, and a linen closet. The modern vanity lights match the contemporary pendant lights in the kitchen.
