4 Bedroom House Design Exterior
The outside of the Abigail is what some in the business might just call amazing! A Mona Lisa if you will. A masterpiece of craftsmanship and a spectacular display of curb appeal. Between the blue siding and white trim, and the combination of multiple gables and awnings over the top of the windows, this home is at the top of my all time favorite list.
In the middle of the home, there is a recessed porch with plenty of room for gathering and just hanging out. To the right side of the home, you do have a garage with a side entrance and to the left hand side there is the junior suite.
Moving around to the back of the home, you will find a number of windows. They are primarily coming from both the master suite as well as your morning room. Between the master suite and morning room lies a very nice covered porch with access from both rooms.
Now while this version of the Abigail does have a blue coastal theme to it, the exterior package of this home can come in a variety of options. From different siding colors to completely different styles including the Craftsman, the French country and more.
This is one of the things that I love about Schumacher and their home floor plans. All of their homes do have a variety of different exterior package options. Even if you were browsing across their website and found a floor plan that you loved and couldn’t find that exact exterior package that you wanted, you can always reach out to Schumacher. They do offer a wide variety of customizations that you can do to each and every home. Definitely look into that if you find the one that you like.
4 Bedroom House Design Interior
Stepping inside the home, you are greeted with an amazing two story foyer. To the right of the foyer, just past the entrance to the junior suite, is a staircase. It wraps around and crosses over the top of the foyer, helping to mask the magic that lies beyond it.
Foyer and Dining Room
To the right of the foyer is the formal dining room. It has two great big windows looking out on to the front porch. Along the back of the dining room is a beautiful mirrored accent wall. Not that this has to be mirrored… or an accent wall. That is just a décor preference.
The dining room is spacious though. It has plenty of room for a large table and has a pretty light fixture hanging just above the table area. I do appreciate the pillars that stand to either side of the great room end of the dining room. They help to differentiate the space so they don’t meld into one another.
To the left of the foyer, just before the stairs, is a small hall leading in to the junior suite. This room sits right up at the front of the home and is the perfect space for a young adult or multi generational bedroom.
The room is nice and large measuring in it approximately 10ft 0in X 11ft 9in. It has plenty of room for a king size bed, a dresser and a couple nights stands. There are several windows throughout the bedroom, and it has a beautiful vaulted ceiling with a light fixture hanging right in the center of the room.
Just to the right of the room there is an en-suite. The en-suite has a single vanity with a large counter, a toilet and a shower and tub combo.
At the end of the foyer, you open up into the two-story great room. It has beautiful, big open trusses in the ceiling ,a great big wall of windows and a massive entertainment center.
In the middle is a massive chandelier that is the focal point of the room. The room itself is exceptionally large and has plenty of space for a wide range of furniture arrangements.
From the living room you enter into your luxurious deluxe kitchen, with an oversized island, quartz countertops, and plenty of drawers and cabinets. On the living room side of the island, you will find several spots for seats and on the kitchen side of the island, there is a sink. Hanging down over the top are two pendant lights that really given the island a fun flair.
Along the back wall of the kitchen is a great big countertop. Here you’ll find the gas stove with range hood and two great big windows on either side. To the right of the kitchen, there are even more cabinets and a smaller countertop. This one is perfect for several different appliances. Then next to that is the refrigerator.
Morning Room and Porch
On the opposite side of the kitchen is the morning room/sitting room, depending on what you want to call it. It has one great big window looking out into your backyard and a transom window to the right. and then off to the left there is a sliding glass door that leads out onto the back porch.
Off to the left of the sitting room, there is a sliding glass door that leads out onto the back porch. It is in close enough proximately to the kitchen to make is easy to carry food and drinks out to the sitting area outside.
Pantry and Utility Room
In-between the kitchen and great room is a doorway that leads into your walk in pantry which has plenty of shelves for a whole heap ton of food. Next to that is the utility room, which is open to the pantry. Here you will find washer and dryer hookups as well as a space along the front side wall, perfect a folding table or wash basin.
Now personally, I find it odd that there isn’t a wall dividing both the pantry and the laundry room here, but that’s just me. If you did want one, I’m sure that you could talk to Schumacher Homes about separating the space. You do have access to the pantry from the kitchen and you also have access do the laundry room from the mud room.
Speaking of which walking through the laundry room there is access into the mud room. It has a nice built-in bench with plenty of cubbyholes underneath of it, and to the right of that, you’ll find the doorway that leads out into the two car garage.
Loft and Secondary Bedrooms
Traveling up the stairs, to the second floor, you are greeted with an open loft area with views down to the living room below. The loft area has plenty of space that is perfect for a media or game room.
There several windows looking out towards the front of the home letting in a whole bunch of light making it just a perfect kind of hangout spot for the kids or guests. Especially since there are the two secondary bedrooms up here.
Walking past the loft area, to the right, you come to the first bedroom. This bedroom is a great size and it has a beautiful window looking out towards the side of the home. The room itself measures in an approximately 10ft 6in X 11ft 9in and has plenty enough room for a full size bed and maybe even a queen. You could probably even put a king up here if you really wanted to.
This room also has a walk in closet right here in the bedroom. At the back of the bedroom, to the left, there’s a doorway that leads into a shared Jack and Jill bathroom.
Just past the foyer to the left, right before the living room, is a small corridor leading down towards the master suite. Right before you get to the master suite, however, is the half bath. It’s a beautiful room with a single vanity and your toilet.
Entering into the master suite itself, on the left hand side, you will find the entrance into your en-suite. This beautiful bathroom features a nice big soaking tub as well as a large standalone shower. The shower has a tile surround and a large oversized shower head. On the opposite wall, there is a double vanity with plenty of counter space between the two sinks. The en-suite also plays host to a large walk-in closet as well as the water closet.
Walking out of the en-suite and to the left, you open up into your beautiful master bedroom. It has incredible vaulted ceilings with a spectacular light fixture hanging down in the middle. Along the back wall you will also find large floor to ceiling windows.
The bedroom itself measures in at approximately 14ft 1in X 12ft 10in and has plenty of space for a large king sized bed, as well as, a number of dressers, night stands, and maybe even a little sitting area.
Here you will also find access out onto the back porch, where you and your partner can go out and enjoy some beautiful, romantic evenings.
