Log Cabin Modular House Exterior

The exterior of this log cabin modular house is done up in a beautiful hand-hewn log siding with an amazing color called moosewood. On the front of the home there is a great big window array looking into the two-story great room. There is also a huge wrap around porch and two sliding glass doors entering the great room itself.

Over near the main entrance of the house, there is also a smaller extension of this porch, which is just a great spot to put several nice little rocking chairs. Maybe even a porch swing.

Working around to the side of the house there are several windows over here, coming out of the master bedroom and the master bathroom. As you get around back you will see even more windows, both on the second floor and first floor. Back towards the back corner, on the far side of the home, there is also a door coming out of the mud room which could lead into a future garage if you decided to add one onto the home.

You will also notice some other cool features on the outside of the home including, two massive dormers that sit on either side of the great room with huge windows that help provide a bunch of natural light into the room.

Stepping inside of the home you are immediately greeted by a beautiful foyer, where there are beautiful knotty pine walls that start and run through most of the home. Here in the foyer, you can access both the great room by turning right or going straight you can head towards both the laundry room and master suite.

Great Room

To the right, going into the great room, it opens to reveal a stunning masterpiece. There is a giant wood beam as well as several other cross members that are exposed, providing a whole bunch of extra character and charm. The two dormers on either side along with the gigantic window array on the front wall, that just really turn this space into a showstopper!

There is tons of room to put furniture in a variety of different arrangements, however, here in the model as we are touring it, they had a little study or reading area to one side of the great room.

On the opposite side, closest to the fireplace, is where the living room itself was set up, with the couch and other pieces of furniture.

The fireplace is the main focal point though and is beautiful with a stone surround going all the way up to the ceiling! It has a stone hearth and a custom carved wood mantle I thought was just spectacular.

Right next to that, still here in the living room, you will find a wet bar. There is access to a wine refrigerator as well as several cabinets and a sink.

Kitchen

From the living room, you transition into the kitchen, which has a gigantic wrap around peninsula with a raised bar and seating on the living room side for approximately 6. On the opposite side of the counter, where it does drop down on the kitchen side, there is a sink stunning copper sink that looks out towards the great room.

There are also plenty of cabinets and drawers done up in a beautiful combination of pecan and Hickory.

Along the far wall, there is the stove along with the range hood. Right next to that, is a nice pantry with plenty of shelving for a whole heap of food. In the middle of the kitchen is a nice space for an island whether it be a rolling type of island or a more permanent fixture.

Mud Room

Through the kitchen, you enter the mud room. Here you will find a half bath to the left and to the right, there are several built-ins and a nice counter space right next to the side door.

Dining Room

Also, through the kitchen, sitting adjacent to the access into the mud room, is the dining room. The dining room has several large windows and sits in just a nice cozy corner at the back of the home.

It has plenty of space for a large dining room table as well as plenty of opportunities to place hutches or buffet style tables to add a little bit extra decoration and hominess to the room.

Loft and Secondary Bedrooms

To the left of the kitchen, you will find the stairwell up to the loft area. It wraps around to reveal a beautiful sitting area that overlooks the great room. To the far side of the loft area, you will find the first full bathroom, with single vanity, the toilet and a shower and tub combo.

At the back of the loft, you have the two secondary bedrooms. The one to the right is slightly larger measuring in at approximately 13ft 3in X 11ft 2in. It has a beautiful window looking out towards the back of the home and a nice closet sitting up towards the front.

The room on the left is the smaller of the two, measuring in at approximately 10ft 10in X 11ft 2in. Again, it does also have a window towards the back but this one’s closet is oriented to the side of the room closest to the other bedroom.

Laundry Room

Moving back downstairs, back through the foyer, we will go to the laundry room. Here you will find a great big counter space with plenty of cabinets and drawers up above.

Then along the back wall of the home there is the washer and dryer hookups.

Master Bedroom

Then also in the hallway, leading to the laundry room you will find a set of beautiful French doors that open to reveal a magnificent master bedroom. The master bedroom sits on the front side of the house with beautiful views out onto the porch.

The room features a large tray ceiling and from here it has transitioned into more of a stucco wall with wood accent. That is unique, especially for those that do not want a complete log cabin feel throughout the home. It breaks it up a little bit with the stucco.

The room is large and measures in at approximately 18ft 2in X 13ft 3in. Plenty of room for a large king size bed as well as several other furniture arrangements, such as dressers, nightstands, etc.

To the left of the room, you will find two doorways. The one closest to the entrance into the bedroom is a massive walk-in closet with plenty of shelving for all your clothes along with some nice built-ins.

Master Bathroom

Through the second doorway, of course, leads into the beautiful master bathroom. This en-suite features a large double vanity with beautiful vanity lights and a nice walk-in shower with tile surround.

Now the one thing that they did add in this home, was an amazing claw foot tub. I think was just the perfect center piece for this bathroom and really gives it that wow factor!

Unfortunately, that is not something that comes with the home, but it is a great idea for someone to add to their own personal home if they decided to go with this model.

Then, back here, you also have a beautiful built-in for your linens. It has drawers and cabinets and something I have not seen before. I really liked it. Finally, all the way at the back, you will find the water closet, which houses your toilet as well as a couple more built-ins.
