HERE IT IS! This cozy little house is the perfect mountain getaway!
The modular log home featured in this tour is the “Pioneer” by Cozy Cabins. It is one of the best modular homes I have ever seen and has such a unique character about it. Its pretty hard not to like. Where you are looking for a mountain retreat of your own or a new short term rent cabin, this is definitely great choice.
This is one of the smaller modular log homes that Cozy Cabins has on display, however, it makes up for it in its simple rustic charm. There are also several other options you can choose from including a 4 bedroom design.
Cozy Cabins constructs all there homes near New Holland, PA and can be shipped out to a number of different states including: IL, IN, MI, OH, PA, NC, VA, WV, MD, DE, NJ, NY, MA, CT, RI, NH, NY, VT and ME
The “Pioneer by Cozy Cabins includes:
- 1092 square feet
- Two bedrooms
- First bedroom: 12ft 11in X 12ft 1in
- Second bedroom: 10ft 0in X 12ft 8in
- One bathroom
- Open Concept
- Large Covered Porch
- Starting price: $158,000* at time of touring
The outside of this cozy little house has the quintessential log cabin look about it. It has a log siding going all the way around the home and a red tin roof that really gives the home some flare.
The “Pioneer” has a large covered porch on the front of the home with plenty of space for several rocking chairs or a swing. It has an exposed truss and a number of beams also on the porch that just give this cabin a little extra of that rustic charm.
Moving around to the back of the home, you will find several windows looking out from the kitchen and the one bedroom. Off of the dining room is a nice sliding glass door that would hopefully lead out on to a spacious back porch with picture perfect views of the surrounding mountains. The coming out of the utility room you will find a door there as well.
When you first step into this cozy little house, you are greeted with a spacious open floor design. There are clear views into the kitchen and dining room as well as the entrace to the hall leading to the bedrooms.
The living room sits to the right of the front door. There are a couple windows that help brighten the space up with an abundance of natural light. Two windows sit on the front side of the home looking out onto the porch and one on the far wall. The living room itself is large. It offers a wide range of furniture configurations and also has tall vaulted ceilings that make it feel even larger.
Kitchen and Dining Room
From the living room you enter into the kitchen and dining room area. To the left is the kitchen. It has a large “L” shaped counter with an abundance of both upper and lower cabinets. Along the back wall of the home is a window, which below it, sits the sink.
On the other side of the counter you will find the stove. It has a built in microwave above it and the refrigerator beside it. Overall, the kitchen has a lot of open room. If you wanted to add an island for additional counter space or breakfast bar, there is plenty of room.
The dining room sits off to the right of the kitchen. Again, plenty of space for a large dining room table. The dining room features a nice large window on the side wall just above the table. Behind the table, along the back wall is that sliding glass door that I mentioned earlier.
Laundry Room and Bathroom
Working our way towards the hallway of this cozy little house, the first stop is a door. (I know mysterious right?!) This home does have the option to be placed on either a foundation or a crawl space depending on what you were looking for. I mention that because this door would be access to your basement. Of course if you just opted for a crawl space type foundation then this would be a closet. Like a coat closet or cleaning closet.
Next to the closet is the utility room. The utility room houses the washer and dryer hookups as well as the back door and an attic access panel.
The one bathroom that is in this house is located towards the end of the hallway. Its on the complete opposite end of the home from kitchen and living room. But easily accessible from both of the bedrooms. The bathroom has a large single vanity and a floor to ceiling linen cabinet to the left. To the right is the toilet and on the opposite side of the bathroom lies a shower and tub combo.
Both of the bedrooms are super cute and offer exactly what you would hope for in a beautiful cabin like this one. The first of the two bedrooms sits on the back side of the home. This is the largest room measuring in at approximately 12ft 11in X 12ft 1in. It has plenty of room for a large bed and a couple dressers. It has a nice size closet just behind the door into the room and a great big window along the back wall.
The second bedroom sits all the way at the end of the hall but on the front side of the home. This room is slightly smaller at approximately 10ft 0in X 12ft 8in. This would make a great room for a set of bunk beds or maybe even an office.
I loved everything about this cozy little house! The “Pioneer” would definitely be a log cabin I am placing at the top of my “Please let me get there” list! Let us know what you think about this home down in the comments.
As always we greatly appreciate you taking the time to stop by and tour these homes with us! We hope you have a fantastic day and look forward to seeing your beautiful face in the next one!
