We visited Terrace Homes in Friendship, Wisconsin and this craftsman style modular home was the first one we had the opportunity to tour. And WOW did it set the mood for the day! It was awesome! Terrace Homes, however, only builds modular homes in WI.

Small Craftsman Style House Exterior

The outside of the “Kittering” really highlights the stunning Craftsman style that this home is built around. On the front of the home the gorgeous covered front porch with stunning stone accents and two nice white columns. This would look fantastic if you put some nice hanging plants up there, maybe a couple little seats and a little table. Definitely turn it into the perfect little hangout spot.

The home itself is wrapped in a beautiful blue vinyl siding. As you begin to walk around the home you will notice on the right-hand side of the home, several windows looking into the two secondary bedrooms.

On the left-hand side of the house there is a doorway situated towards the back of the home. This could eventually lead out into an attached garage. On this side of the home, you will also find more windows this time looking into the living room as well as the dining room and kitchen area.

Overall exterior of this Craftsman style house is very charming with a nice cottage feel to it. 

Craftsman Modular Homes Interior

Stepping inside of this Craftsman style modular home, you were immediately greeted with a beautiful open concept floor plan with views of the living room, as well as, the kitchen and dining room. Just next to the front door, on the right-hand side, you will find a coat closet. 

The Living Room

From there you open into the beautiful living space. The living room sits up towards the front side of the home with two large windows looking out onto the front porch.

There is plenty of room within the living room for several different furniture arrangements and the stunning vaulted ceiling adds to the openness within the living room. 

The Dining Room and Kitchen

From the living room you easily transition into the dining room and kitchen. The dining room sits on the left-hand side of the home with plenty of space for a nice sized table.

There is a large window that sits just behind it and a beautiful light fixture hanging down over the top of the table itself. 

On the right-hand side, you will find a beautiful kitchen with a nice horseshoe countertop. On the backside of the counter is where you will find the refrigerator along with the stove and built-in microwave. In the middle of this horseshoe counter, sitting along the side wall, is a stainless sink.

Then finally, looking back out into the living room you do have a nice peninsula with several cabinets down below. On the opposite side, the counter forms a crescent shape with a little overhang. Perfect for a couple seats or stools. 

The Secondary Bedrooms and Bath

Between the living room and the kitchen is an arched doorway that opens into a small, shared area. From this communal area you can access both the secondary bedrooms as well as the first full bathroom.

Both bedrooms are the same size, measuring in at 11 ft 0 in x 11 ft 0 in. The one on the front side of the home has a large window looking out the front of the house, while the bedroom sitting towards the back of the house has a nice window looking out to the side yard.

Each have spacious closets that are separated by a pocket door and plenty of room for numerous pieces of furniture. 

Sitting in between the two bedrooms is a bathroom. This bathroom features a large double vanity, a toilet, and a shower and tub combo. Then just outside of the bathroom, you will find two smaller linen closets on either side of the shared area. 

The Mud Room and Laundry Room

Moving back through the kitchen and dining room you will go through another arched doorway. This doorway leads back to the mud room the laundry room and the master suite.

As soon as you enter through this archway, to the left-hand side, is the door that would eventually lead out into your garage.

Opposite that, is a doorway that will give access down into your basement should you choose to put this home on a basement type foundation.

Then all the way at the back of the mud room you will find the laundry room. Here you have plenty of space for washer and dryer along with several cabinets mounted above them. Then there is a nice window looking out into the back of the home at the far end of the laundry room. 

The Master Suite

To the right-hand side of the mud room is the doorway into the master bedroom.

The master bedroom sits at the backside of the home and measures in at approximately 12 ft 0 in x 15 ft 0 in. It is a massive space with plenty of room for a large king size bed, as well as, a couple of nightstands and some dressers.

Within the master bedroom you will find a linen closet situated right next to the en-suite. Then to the back of the master bedroom you will find a door that opens to reveal a large walk-in closet.

One of the things I loved about this closet is that it had an automatic light switch built into the door jam. So, when you opened the door, it released the button which turned on the light. And when you shut the door it compressed the button to turn the light back off. Pretty handy. 

Also, within the master bedroom you will find the door that leads into the en-suite. This en-suite is smaller than we are typically used to touring, however, fitting for this size home.

The en-suite features a large single vanity and a toilet on the right-hand side. Then on the left-hand side you will find a standalone soaking tub as well as a walk-in shower. 

Final Thoughts

The “Kittering” is the perfect little house for anyone who loves craftsman style homes. It’s quaint, charming, and best of all – spacious!
