Schumacher Homes “Olivia” Exterior
The exterior of this version of the Olivia certainly does not disappoint. The home has a combination of stone, vinyl, and shake shingle that all go really well together. The white trim and large white columns leading up to the front entry do a great job of catching the eye and making the home stand out.
This model is built on a hill, so the back of the home looks a little different than if it were built on flat land. The bottom level is actually the basement and the large windows in the back are the first floor of the home. I absolutely love all the windows and that they are at the back of the house.
Some homes have large windows on the front or side, but for privacy, I like those windows at the back of the house. The “Olivia” model comes in a wide range of exterior packages including: Craftsman, American Tradition, Modern Farmhouse, French Country, and more.
First Look Inside Schumacher Homes “Olivia”
Coming through the front door, a half bathroom is to the right. It is beautifully decorated and a really nice size. Then to the left, there is a bonus room. It is set up as an office in this model but could be used as a formal living room or dining room.
There is a wood accent wall on the far side of the room and a really funky wallpaper ceiling. The ceiling is not something I would have thought of, but adds a lot to the room and looks great!
Back to the main entryway, directly ahead is an amazing two-story foyer. The foyer has a beautiful wood accent wall that spans all if the way up to the ceiling and it matches the wall in the office as well as the floors throughout the home.
The Great Room
Heading through the foyer is the stunning great room. It is just the beginning to a great open floor plan. The great room is two stories and has a white brick fireplace that goes up to the ceiling. It is the first thing I noticed in the room because it’s ginormous and has really nice contrast with the black fireplace and black mantle.
Next to the fireplace are some amazingly huge windows that let the natural light flood in the home. If you look up at the ceiling in the room there are exposed beams that match the flooring, again completely breathtaking. This room is by far my favorite in the home and is where I would probably spend a lot of my time.
Just beyond the great room is the kitchen and butlers pantry/laundry room. The kitchen has granite countertops, a beautiful tile backsplash, and tons of gorgeous cabinets that are all soft close (it’s the little things that make me happy). There is also one of the largest islands I have ever seen.
It is topped with granite countertops and has a large farmhouse sink built in. The dishwasher (spoiler alert! There are two dishwashers in this home) is next to the sink and around the corner from that, there is a wine fridge built into the side of the island facing the dining room.
Moving to the butler’s pantry, there are plenty of shelving and cabinet space. It is also where the washer and dryer live as well as the second dishwasher. Through the butler’s pantry is a hallway with more storage, some coat hooks, and a lovely beadboard wall. This hallway leads to the two-car garage.
The Dining Room
Heading back to the kitchen and great room, we also have the dining room. There is plenty of space in the dining room for a large table and a buffet or hutch. In this model, there is a bench lining two of the three walls of the room.
On the back wall is a wooden accent wall that again matches the floors and really ties the room together with the beams in the ceiling and the floors. You can slightly see the accent wall in the foyer.
I really like the continuous flow of this house. Paul Schumacher Homes did a really great job carrying those details through the home.
The Master Bedroom
The master bedroom in this home is absolutely amazing! It is located down a small hallway off of the great room.
The accent wall is what stands out first. It is a lovely slate gray blue color and contrasts the white in the room beautifully. It also goes really well with the flooring and the wood detail on the ceiling.
The windows in the room are amazing as well. They let in tons of natural light and really brighten up the room. Hanging from the ceiling in the center of the room is a huge pendant chandelier and at the back of the room are two smaller globe lights.
The Master Bathroom
The master bathroom is the definition of luxury. In the middle of the room is a giant soaking tub with a beautiful tile surround that matches the tile on the floor. There are two vanities, one on either side of the massive walk-in shower. I, personally am a fan of my own spaces and this is the perfect bathroom set up!
Directly behind the tub is a large glass walk-through shower. Also in the bathroom, there are two (yes two) separate walk-in closets.
The Second Floor
The second floor of the Olivia is just as impressive as the first. The additional two bedrooms are located on the second floor as well as a loft area and a jack and jill bathroom.
The loft is the first stop on the second floor tour. It has an open view to the great room and kitchen below, which makes it a great common area. It would also make a really good game room or lounge area for the kids.
The next stop on the second floor tour are the two bedrooms. Both are a really nice size and have nice size closets. In this model, they are the only two rooms that are carpeted. It is an option that can definitely be changed though if hardwood is preferred.
Between the bedrooms is the Jack-and-Jill bathroom. The Jack-and-jill bathroom can be accessed from either room. This one is really neat because each room has its own separate vanity before entering the shared bath and toilet.
Paul Schumacher Homes’ “Olivia” is definitely one to remember. This particular model is displayed at Schumacher’s Greensboro-Winston, NC location. If you are ever in the area you should go take a tour. It is really one of my all-time favorite homes. What do you think of this house? Have you seen the other Olivia models and do you agree that the Craftsman is the best version?
Thank you so much for stopping by and touring another of Paul Schumacher Homes with us! Hope you have a fantastic day and we will see your beautiful face in the next one!
