Modern Farmhouse Exterior

When it comes to a modern farmhouse exterior typically one would expect board and batten everywhere. However, this home bucks the system and just goes with the traditional white vinyl siding. Yet it keeps with the beautiful black frame windows that are so calming with the modern farmhouse style of home.

On the front of this beautiful two-story there is a nice porch sitting right in front of the entryway. It is a decent size with plenty of space for two rocking chairs and even a nice little table. And then as you work your way around the home, on the backside, you will find several windows. They are both on the lower level as well as on the upper level. They are peering out of the bedrooms, living room, and dining room. There is also a sliding glass door on the main floor leading out from the dining room.

On the far side of the house, you will find a doorway that leads out from this amazing mud room. This spot would be an exceptional place to put a nice two car or three car garage which would also add some additional character to the elevation of this house.

Modern Farmhouse Living Room

When you step in this modern farmhouse you are greeted with a two-story open to above foyer. It features a beautiful coat closet, vinyl plank floors and a wraparound staircase going up to the second floor.

Beyond the foyer it opens into your living room which is nice and spacious with an incredible call from ceiling. There are a whole bunch of windows along the back wall that allow a bunch of light to flow into the living room as well as plenty of space for any number of furniture arrangements. Along the back wall you also find a beautiful gas fireplace with nice rustic shiplap accent wall. On either side of that you will find built-in bookshelves with the same accent wall.

Just off the living room sitting up underneath of the stairs (depending on the foundation type that you choose) you will have access doorway down into your basement. Of course, if you did not go with the basement type foundation, you would have another gigantic storage closet.

Modern Farmhouse Dining Room

To the left of the living room, divided by some great big pillars, you will find both the kitchen and the dining room. The dining room sits on the back half of the home with, again, more beautiful windows. It also has that sliding glass door that we talked about on the exterior. Here I can just imagine a great big back patio or porch with a grill on it.

Maybe even one of those nice firepits that we can just invite all our friends over and enjoy some cookouts or some just fun evenings socializing. The dining room has plenty of space for a large dining room table one that would sit up to 8 or 10. Behind that you also have a large built in dry bar with a couple nice wine racks as well as room for a wine chiller down below.

Modern Farmhouse Kitchen

Now when it comes to the kitchen it is my favorite part of this whole house. in the middle it has a great Big Island with plenty of seating for up to six and on the opposite side of the island there are plenty of cabinets and drawers as well as a beautiful undermount sink looking out past the dining room through the great big sliding glass doors.

Looking to the opposite side of the kitchen, you will find your stove top as well as a beautiful range hood. Then, on either side of that are some beautiful built-in cabinets. Each of them has an appliance garage as well as glass pane windows for your finer dishes.

On the right-hand side of the kitchen as you are looking towards the front of the home you will find a built-in microwave as well as your oven and the refrigerator. Sitting in between that and the dry bar in the dining room is a great big built-in buffet with plenty of cabinets to highlight all your best dishware.

Laundry and Mud Room

On either side of the kitchen sitting up towards the front of the house you have both the laundry room as well as the mud room. To the left of the kitchen is the laundry room which has a unique setup featuring stackable washer and dryer, as well as a cool counter for folding your laundry as well as extra storage space. On the opposite side of the laundry room, you will find two doors both open to reveal the first-floor furnace as well as the water heater.

On the right-hand side of the kitchen, you will find the mud room this house is that side door that we saw on the exterior of the home and has a nice built-in with plenty of little cubby holes and a window looking out towards the front of the home.

In here you will also find a door that leads into the half bath. I think this is great if you have guests over, because they do not have to go traipsing through your personal space. They can just go right here, off the kitchen, find the bathroom, use it, and they are done.

Secondary Bedrooms and Bathroom

Moving up to the second floor you will come to a nice catwalk that looks down over the top of the foyer before opening into a little common space that provides access into all the bedrooms. The two secondary bedrooms sit on the backside of the house divided by a full bathroom. The bedroom on the right is nice and spacious measuring in and approximately 15ft 0in X 10ft 8in.

It has a nice size closet as well as a great big window that lets in a whole bunch of natural light into the room. The bedroom on the left is also nice and spacious measuring it approximately 15ft 0in X 10ft 5in. Again, it also has a nice window looking out the back of the home as well as a nice size step in closet.

The full bath that sits in between them features a double vanity a shower and tub combo in the nice built-in linen closet. I like the fact that this bathroom does feature the double vanity which is very rare in the secondary bedrooms in most homes I think it’s great especially since it is a shared bathroom between two bedrooms.

At the end of the hallway, you will find the entrance into the master suite the bedroom sits up towards the front of the home, again, with two big windows in here. The room measures approximately 15ft 0in X 11ft 3in, with plenty of room for either a king or queen size bed depending on your preference as well as nightstands and dressers. To the right of the bedroom as you walk in there is a massive walk-in closet with plenty of built-ins and racks for all your clothes.

To the left as you walk in, you will find the doorway to the en-suite. The en-suite features a double vanity as well as a beautifully tiled walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead a traditional shower head as well as a removable showerhead talk about never wanting to come out of there!
