The exterior of Schumacher Homes Charleston model is a sight to behold. It has a tremendous amount of curb appeal with its soaring gables and large front porch. On the front of the home sits the entrance into the two car garage and on this particular modern farmhouse version, has beautiful board and batten siding and brick accents. Of Course no modern farmhouse would be complete without the accompanying black framed windows.
Travelling around to the back of the home, you are greeted with even more incredible windows that just help light up the inside of this masterpiece. The backside of the Charleston also as a lovely covered back porch coming right off the dining room, making it the perfect spot to enjoy the evening.
The modern farmhouse is just one exterior style offered with the Charleston, so have no fear if you aren’t the farmhouse type. Some of the other exterior packages include the American Tradition, the Craftsman, Modern and Earnhardt styles. Of these styles you can click on each on to tour that version.
Foyer and Flex Room
Stepping through the front door you are greeted with a stunning foyer. It has very tall, coffered ceilings and a beautiful light fixture hanging down right in the middle. To the left of the entryway is a flex room.
This room can be any number of things, but in this home it is currently set up as an office. It has two big windows looking out onto the front porch as well as two built ins reaching up to the ceiling along the back wall.
On the opposite side of the foyer is a small corridor that leads off to the half bath. It has a single vanity and the toilet, but I always love to see the different wall paper or tile Schumacher uses to decorate these half bathrooms. They are always fun and unique.
Next to the bathroom at the end of the foyer you will find a coat closet just before the open stairway down to the basement.
Taking the stairs down to the basement you will find a large unfinished space (you could definitely have it finished), that houses your furnace and water heater. The basement is very stout, constructed of 8′ steel reinforced concrete walls and is the perfect spot for a game room or theater room. Of course storage always works too.
The living room is absolutely gorgeous in Schumacher Homes Charleston model! It features a beautifully done shiplap accent wall and a collection of fancy pendant lights hanging down in the middle of the room.
Along the back wall of the living room are three gigantic widows! They offer glorious views into your future back yard while still filling up the space with an abundance of natural light. The room itself is quite large and definitely allows for a number of different furniture layouts, which is nice I think.
Secondary Bedrooms and Bath
Directly off the living room is a doorway leading to the three secondary bedrooms that lie on this side of the home. The hallway runs from front to back of the home with one bedroom towards the back and two bedrooms facing the front of the home.
The bedroom all the way at the end of the hall towards the front of the home is the smallest of the three, measuring in at approximately 11ft 0in X 10ft 0in. It makes up for it with a super tall ceiling though, not found in the other two rooms.
In the middle of the hall is a full bathroom. It has a single vanity and shower and tub combo. There are options for this bathroom to be a jack and jill between the two bedrooms to either side and turning the front smaller room into a 2nd flex room.
Kitchen and Dining Room
To the left the of the living room is the jewel of Schumacher Homes Charleston model. It is this extortionary deluxe kitchen. It boasts an over sized island with quartz countertops, wall mounted oven and microwave and all the cabinets a person could dream of.
Above the island is a magnificent rustic coffered ceiling with a few beautiful pendant lights dance gracefully in the air below. There is counter space everywhere, so plenty of room for food prep and all types of appliances. Just off to the right of the kitchen is a wonderful walk in pantry. It is nice and deep. There are plenty of shelves and very conveniently located near the sink and stove.
Next to the kitchen, towards the backside of the home, is the dining room. There is plenty of space for a nice big table. The dining room also provides easy access to move out onto the porch through the sliding glass door. So after a nice big meal, you and your friends or family can continue the fun.
Utility Room and Garage
To the left of the kitchen is where you will find access to the utility room and garage. As soon as you enter through the doorway there is a nice mud room with a built in bench and coat rack.
To the right is access into the garage and to the left is the door that leads into the laundry room. Here you have washer and dryer hook ups and a small folding table. I would have like to have seen a wash basin and larger counter space in here, but I’m sure working with Schumacher that would be an easy addition.
The Master Suite
Just off the dining room is a walk way that leads into the master bedroom. Sitting just outside of it though is a cute pocket office. It has a small built in media desk just below a beautiful window peering out into the back yard.
The master bedroom is another masterfully done room. It again, has gorgeous windows, a stunning wood accent wall and a lovely chandelier dangling just above the bed. There really isn’t much to this room but I think it’s beauty lies within the simplicity of its design.
It is a large room, measuring in at approximately 14ft 0in X 16ft 0in. Definitely plenty of space for a large king size bed as well as a dresser or two.
The master bathroom lies just to the left as you walk through the bedroom. The first thing that will grab your eye as you walk in is the huge walk-in shower with a tile surround. It’s pretty dang nice, if I do say so myself. Opposite the shower is a floating double vanity, again with the quartz countertops. Finally, towards the back of the bathroom you will find your walk-in closets.
There you have it. This is truly a remarkable home and a fine example of what Schumacher Homes Charleston model looks like. Leave a comment below with your thoughts on this home. Would love to hear them.
