The single wide manufactured home featured in this tour is model “S-16×72-32B” by Legacy Homes. This model as toured has a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom and a 1068 sqft layout, with a pet door and an interesting smaller back bedroom.
As we have been touring several of these single wide manufactured homes, it has become evident that the different regions of the country utilize various sidings on their manufactured homes. This particular single wide has an almost powder blue vinyl siding. It was the only one of these Legacy Homes at their show in Fort Worth that had this type of siding. All of their other manufactured homes had a T1-11 siding, which is like a panel board. I have toured single wide manufactured homes in New Mexico that also utilize this T1-11 siding so I don’t know if that is because of the dryer climates or not.
The front of this home has 2 doors, one at the back of the home and one up towards the front. One of the new features that this manufactured home has, and one that I haven’t seen (maybe you have) is the pet door. I thought that was nice for all of you pet lovers.
The Living Room
As you enter the home from the main front door, you enter into your main living room with unobstructed view to your kitchen. The living room is a nice size at roughly 15 feet wide, with plenty of room for an entertainment center and a number of ways to set-up your furniture.
The kitchen has a large peninsula that double as the the dining room table. It has plenty of cabinets and storage space and all of the important appliances such as, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and microwave.
This manufactured home has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are located down the hall past the kitchen. The hallway opens up slightly and the first bedroom is on the right. This room is a typical room that you would find in most manufactured homes. The second bedroom is a little different. It spans the width of the home with a partition in the middle that ever so slightly breaks up the room allowing for 2 beds to fit. It is the perfect room if you have smaller kids that are roughly the same age.
The master bedroom is situated on the opposite end of this home, just to the right of the front door as you enter. It is a large master that also spans the width of the home and has plenty of room for a queen and maybe even a king size bed. The thing I appreciated most was the walk- in closet was in the bedroom and not the bathroom, which is becoming harder and harder to find in manufactured homes today. The en-suite has a shower and tub combo and a single vanity.
