Living up to its name of American Tradition, you cannot help but think of a classic American Home when you look at the Charleston II. Its indigo shake and shingle siding, the white windows, and gabled roof. Everything about the home’s exterior harkens back to the traditional American homestead.
Stonework lines the home’s foundation and culminates in a wonderful archway at the front of the house. From the outside, this iteration of the Charleston II is picture-perfect.
The inside is equally as stunning. Upon stepping through the home’s front door, you are greeted with the bright and vibrant feel that permeates the entire house. To the left of the main entrance is the flex room. The space comes with plenty of cabinet space, making it an excellent place for an office desk and chair.
However, the room is highly customizable and can be transformed into whatever you want. Add a few armchairs and bookshelves for a quiet reading nook, or why not go all out and build a wet bar? There is plenty of space for an extended wine rack.
Just across the hall is the half bath. This small bathroom has a very regal feel with its white walls and single wallpapered wall. The hanging light fixtures and arched mirror only add to the classy tone of the space.
From there, the home opens up into the massive great room. This area serves as a living room, dining room, and kitchen. The first thing that will draw your eye is the tall ceilings with their recessed light fixtures. The room is also bathed in natural light, thanks to the enormous windows and glass sliding porch door that line the end of the room.
A marvelous forest grey wall adorns the main living area. This space comes with a sectional couch and a pair of wicker chairs and is the ideal spot to mount a TV. There is no better spot in the Charleston II to spend quality time with the family than here.
From there, the room transitions into the dining area. This semi-formal dining area with its eight-seater table offers a clear view of the back porch, which itself is large enough to host an entire party. The dining space is accented by a wood ceiling above the dining table. Along the wall, you will find a beautifully designed forest grey brick bond tile that runs the length of the room and a row of white cabinetry leading into the kitchen.
Like the rest of this four-bedroom house design, the kitchen comes with several unique design features. At the top of the kitchen’s huge cabinets are displaced cabinets accentuated by built-in accent lights. The perfect spot to showcase your exquisite plate collection.
The oversized island acts as the centerpiece of the room. It is an ideal communal eating space, great for dishing out a quick and healthy breakfast. The kitchen comes with all your standard amenities, including a gas top stove with stainless steel roofing, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher.
If this kitchen space is too tiny for you for some reason, fear not. Just to the corner, you will find the pantry. A massive area, this butler’s pantry comes with an enormous sink, a second fridge, and plenty of cupboard space to store your cleaning products.
Next on tour is the first bedroom in this four-bedroom house design. This 120 square foot room radiates the same freshness as the rest of the home with a single wallpapered wall and muted grey walls.
The room comes with ample closet space, hidden behind a set of well-crafted double doors.
This compact bathroom maximizes the space available. Despite the relatively small size of the room, Schumacher Homes manages to fit the bathroom with a linen closet, shower bath combo, basin complete with vanity lighting, and mirror. Even with all this, the room doesn’t feel cramped, a testament to the design skills of Schumacher.
The room is well furnished with a double bed and dark wood cabinet, which contrasts against the lighter colors of the room. The unique feature of this room is its real brick wall. This space would make for an excellent guest room or spot for a free-spirited teen.
The most unique of the three smaller bedrooms, this bedroom is truly something special. A beautiful arched window floods the room with natural light.
The high ceiling makes the room feel bigger than it is, and a gorgeous glass chandelier light fixture hangs above the bed. Anyone would be happy to have this excellently designed space as their bedroom.
Unlike most of the home’s other rooms, the laundry room has a grey color scheme, which is highlighted by the accompanying paneled accent. A white tile backsplash lines the wall above the room’s countertops.
The room comes with its own washer and dryer and an ample amount of storage space for keeping fresh linen or cleaning products.
The first stop in the master suite is the bathroom. The star of the room is the walk-in shower, with its glass doors and tile surround. As an added bonus, the bathroom comes with plenty of closet space, two walk-ins can be found on either side of the room.
As for the bedroom itself, this roomy space is beautifully designed with its arched ceilings and slated ceiling, and exposed beam running the length of the ceiling.
The bedroom comes fully furnished with a giant king-sized four-poster bed and an elegant lounge couch. What more could you want from a master bedroom?
