The Best Modular Home Exterior

The “Madison” is a ranch-style home that has several customization options for both the interior and exterior.  The model home that we are touring today is a beautiful home that sits on a brick foundation. The vinyl siding on the house is a rich dark gray color with white trim around the windows that really makes it pop.

The home has three points of entry. The front door with an optional porch (definitely a must-have in my opinion), a side door, and a back door leading to the backyard or patio. The model has the porch added on and it gives the home a very welcoming curb appeal. There is room for a nice bench or swing to sit and enjoy a peaceful late afternoon or evening.

Entryway

Coming in through the front door, you are greeted with a small foyer that opens up to a gorgeous living room. The foyer has space for an entryway table or cabinet and a cute plant would go really nice here as well. There is also a coat closet located to the right.

Living Room

Stepping from the foyer into the living room is like stepping into an open meadow. It is cheery, bright, and very open. I love the tray ceilings that are in the living room! There is also a really pretty gas fireplace that has a built-in area above for a television to be mounted.

Opposite the foyer, on the back wall of the living room is the sliding glass door leading to the backyard. Surrounding the door are huge windows that stretch down to the floor, allowing tons of natural light to stream in.

Dining Room

The living room and dining room are connected in this open living space. The dining room is a good size for a family table of about six. There is also room for a small buffet table or hutch along the wall.

The dining room, as well as the rest of the home, has white crown molding on the ceiling, floor, and around the windows. It really makes every room feel very bright and airy.

Kitchen

The kitchen is an open “U” shaped kitchen, which you don’t really see very often but you definitely should! This layout is absolutely amazing! You can access the kitchen from the living room or the dining room as it has open doorways at either end of the U. There is an island in the middle with a cutout window opening up the space so much more.

Entering in through the living room the first stop in the kitchen is the huge island. There is seating on either side of it, comfortably seating two people on either side. There is also a set of drawers and cabinets on both sides as well as an outlet at both ends. The outside of the U and the main part of the kitchen is lined with cabinets and drawers.

There is definitely no lack of storage space in this kitchen, that is for sure! I love the farmhouse sink right at the center of the kitchen with the wide windows above and a dishwasher next to it. Continuing around, there is the stove with an overhead microwave and a large pantry cabinet at the other end of the U.

Guest Bedrooms/Bathroom

Just off the kitchen is the hallway that leads to the guest bathroom, two guest bedrooms, and a utility room. There is also a door at the end of this hallway that leads outside. The first stop down this hallway is the bathroom. The bathroom has a single vanity when you first walk in with matching countertops to the kitchen. There is a shower/tub combo at the back of the bathroom and a toilet in between. Just outside the bathroom is a linen closet with shelving.

Opposite the bathroom, is the first of two bedrooms. This bedroom is slightly smaller than the one next to it but is still a very nice size and would make an excellent bedroom or office. There is carpet in both of the bedrooms in this hallway as well as more large windows letting in all of that bright and cheery sunlight. The second bedroom is almost the same as the first. It is just two feet wider and has a little different entryway when coming into the room.

Mudroom/Utility Room

At the end of the hallway is the door leading to the side of the house. There is a built-in hall tree with a bench that matches the counters in the kitchen and bathroom. There are also cubbies at the top that have outlets in each of them. I think that this is a really cute and handy extra that has been added to the home. It really just shows that Future Homes thinks about what their customers need and put a little something special into their homes!

Next to the mudroom is the utility room. There is a desk area to the right when you enter the room. It has cabinets and drawers built into the lower portion and upper cabinets as well. On the other end of the room are the washer/dryer hookup and a utility sink. The counters and cabinets in the utility room match the rest throughout the home.

The Best Modular Home Master Suite

Heading back across the home to the other side of the living room, we find the master suite. The master bedroom is a really nice size that could definitely fit a queen or king bed as well as a dresser and nightstands on either side of the bed.

The star of this master suite though is the bathroom. There is a huge garden tub to the right when you walk into the room. To the left is a double vanity that is nicely spread out with plenty of counter and cabinet space. I really like how the counter is elevated in the middle a little so that there is a separation between the two vanities. At the back of the bathroom is a large walk-in shower with a beautiful tile surround with glass tile accents.

Also at the back of the bathroom is the giant walk-in closet. I think this closet could be its own room! There is shelving lining the closet and a set of tall double windows with a bench below it. Perfect for sitting down to lace or buckle up some shoes for a night on the town!
