From the arched-shaped windows and door frames to the clay tile roof, the Farnese model definitely portrays the key characteristics of a Mediterranean-style home. The best feature about this home though is the Lanai, which is on the backside of the home.

I really don’t understand why more homes across the country (or even worldwide) don’t utilize lanais.  For anyone that doesn’t know, a lanai is a patio or open-sided living area. In Florida, they are screened in and are just a great area that is safe from bugs to hang out with the family or entertain guests.

Entryway

Entering through the front door you are greeted with a lovely foyer area with tray ceilings and a beautiful chandelier. The first thing that I noticed about the home was how open the home feels. It has a great open floor plan that has a natural flow while moving through the home.

Flex Room

To the right of the foyer is the flex room. In this model, it is set up as an office with bookcases lining the walls and a huge arched window at the front of the room letting in loads of natural light. There is also an option for this to be a third bedroom if that suits your needs more.

Guest Bedroom

Across from the office/flex room is the hallway that leads to the second or guest bedroom.  It is a really nice size, has a double-door closet with wiring shelving, and a full en-suite bathroom.

The bathroom has a single vanity with plenty of counter space and a large mirror as well as a shower tub combo with a full tile surround. There is also a linen closet in the bathroom.  One great thing about this room is that it doesn’t lack storage.  Between the bedroom closet, the linen closet, and the storage in the vanity drawers and cabinets there is definitely plenty of room for everything.

Past the guest bedroom is the laundry room with washer and dryer hookups, plenty of cabinet and counter space that line the room, and the furnace. Across the hall, you come to the half bathroom just before finding the door to the 2-car garage.

Formal Dining Room

Heading back to the main hallway, the next room that we come to is the formal dining room. There is an accent wall at the front of the room that has a nice, but subtle texture to it.  The wall opposite is lined with tall windows for great natural lighting. The best accent to the room is the tray ceilings and beautiful hanging chandelier above the table space.

Kitchen

The next stop on the tour leads us to the kitchen and gathering room. Again, this home has a really nice open floorplan and this is the heart of the home. The space is warm, inviting, and great for entertaining.

The kitchen has a huge island in the middle with a line of pendant lights hanging above.  There is plenty of room for seating along the island and one thing that it has that a lot of kitchen islands don’t have is cabinets underneath the seating area. That really ups the level of storage space for the kitchen.

Speaking of storage space, there is a ton of cabinet space lining the entire kitchen. The refrigerator and stove are on separate walls, both of which have top and bottom cabinets, which of course also translates to tons of counter space. In between the stove and refrigerator, you will find a corner pantry with wire shelving on the inside.

Gathering Room

Just past the kitchen area is the casual dining room. There is enough room for a table and chairs and is a really nice area to gather and be around everyone while the family is cooking or socializing in the kitchen or gathering room.  Which is the next room that we are moving to.

The gathering room is opposite the kitchen and is a nice, open area to have a couch and a tv.  The best thing about this room is the lattice-style tray ceiling. It really gives the room a little something extra and makes it feel just a little grander. On the far side of the gathering room are the huge sliding doors that lead out to the lanai area.

Lanai

The lanai area is my favorite area of the home!  There is a built-in grill area with counter space, a gas fireplace, a pool and a hot tub, and an outdoor dining area.  The lanai is definitely the place to sit and relax (for me anyway) and whether it’s with friends, family, or just yourself it’s a great space with lots of different options.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is back inside and off of the gathering room. Coming into the room, the first thing you notice is the beautiful bay windows on the far side of the room. The master is a really great size and has plenty of space for a king-size bed and the rest of your bedroom set.

Through the bedroom, with corner access which is nice in the master bathroom.  There is a huge shower in the bathroom with a rainfall shower head and floor-to-ceiling tiling. Next to the shower is a double vanity with a good amount of counter and mirror space. On the other side of the shower is the water closet and just beyond that is the amazing master closet.

The walls of the closet are lined with a combination of built-in shelving with hanging rods mixed in. I really like the use of the cubbies in the shelving system. it makes storing things so much easier and more organized.
