“Paxton II” – The Perfect Lake House Exterior
The outside of this beautiful blue lake house style modular home is done up in a nice LP smart siding. And it travels all the way around the home. On the front side of the home there is a beautiful, covered porch that surrounds the entryway into the home. There is a gorgeous gable with a lovely gable accent and some shake siding that add a little character to the porch.
As you work your way around to the back of the home, there are several windows. On the far side of the home there is a doorway that leads out of the utility room. Here would be a great spot to put a garage if you wanted to increase both storage and functionality of the home.
On the very front of the home, is a great big, covered porch with plenty of room for tables and chairs and all types of outdoor living furniture. I guarantee if you have this home, you are going to have it set up on a lake or in the mountains somewhere! And you are definitely going to be out here all the time taking in the spectacular views that surround you.
Lake House Style Interior
When you step inside of the home, you are greeted with a beautiful open concept layout. To the right of the front door is a cute little bench area with a little coat rack so you can hang up your jackets.
However, if you wanted to close this off, you could put a door right here and turn this into a coat closet.
From the entryway, the home opens into a beautiful living room with vaulted ceilings and lovely wood beams that span the entire home. The living room sits up towards the front of the house. Definitely the perfect spot to take in the beautiful views out of the great big window array.
Within the living room, you will also find a gas fireplace with a nice, beautiful mantle and a place to mount your TV. There is plenty of room for several furniture arrangements, too. However, more than likely you are going to be wanting to face either out the windows or towards the fireplace.
On the opposite side of the home, you will find the dining room and the kitchen. The dining room has plenty of space for a nice large dining room table. The one thing that I love in this home though, is that they had this beautiful wood bench right up underneath of the window.
The bench acted as one of the chairs for the dining room table and really made the space pop!
Next to the dining room you will find the kitchen. The kitchen has a beautiful island sitting right in the middle of it with a nice butcher block countertop and plenty of soft close drawers and cabinets. My favorite thing about this home is the unique light fixtures that are throughout it. The first of which was sitting right here over the top of the island. It is a cute little pendant light with an old-fashioned type of pulley that acts as the wires that connect it to the home.
On the opposite side of the island, you will find a beautiful L-shaped countertop. Instead of upper cabinets they did go with a nice floating shelf system, which really helps give the home a little bit more of an open feel.
On the lower cabinets you will find your typical cabinets and drawers. The sink sits just up underneath of the window looking out to the side of the home and is a unique concrete under mount sink. I found it interesting and really enjoyed the look.
As the counter continues to move around the kitchen, you will find your gas stove with a built-in microwave sitting just above it. Then next to that you have space for your refrigerator. The cabinets do not go all the way up to the ceiling here in the kitchen, so you do have plenty of space to do a little decorating and make this lake house home feel like your own.
Next to the kitchen you will find a hallway leading down to the secondary bedrooms. However, the first thing that you come to is a small partition wall that separates the living room from the stairwell down into the basement.
Across the hallway from that, you will find a beautiful barn door that opens to reveal your utility room. In here you have a large closet to the left and then on the right-hand side is the washer and dryer hookups. There is also a super cute little built-in, so you can sit down, take your shoes off and hang up your coats.
All the way at the back of the utility room, you will also find the door leading out to a potential future garage or carport. Just another access point within the home.
Secondary Bedroom and Bath
Further down the hallway, on the left-hand side, you come to the first full bathroom. This bathroom features a single vanity, a shower and tub combo, as well as, the toilet. One of the cool things that this home and many homes that I have toured here in Wisconsin incorporate, is the use of these unique solar tubes.
They really help bring in a whole bunch of light into the space without the use of electricity. I am not saying this home did not have electricity, because it does, I just thought that that was unique feature and would help save on your overall electricity usage.
Then all the way at the end of the hall you come to the first full bedroom. This bedroom is the smaller of the two measuring in at approximately 10ft 5in X 13ft 2in. However, it does have enough room for a large bed, as well as, plenty of other pieces of furniture, including nightstands and dressers.
On the opposite side of the hallway, you will come into the master bedroom. This room measures in at approximately 14ft 8in X 13ft 2in and is absolutely spectacular. It does have several windows within the home and plenty of space for a large king size bed and again numerous pieces of furniture.
Within the master bedroom, you will also find a beautiful walk-in closet all the way in the far back corner. There is plenty of room for you to hang up all your clothes and have a little bit of extra storage.
In the master bedroom there is also access into the en-suite. Again, this bathroom has a single vanity, a toilet and a shower and tub combo. But it also incorporates some more of those unique light fixtures, such as the one acting as the vanity light.
This one had three water spigots that had several strings coming out of them that connect to the light bulbs themselves (looking like water 😁).
