This West Virginia Modular Home Exterior
The outside of this beautiful chalet style modular home has several prominent features. The most notable of course, is on the front of the house, with the multiple window arrays on either side of this towering fireplace and the two siding glass doors leading out onto the back porch.
As you walk around to the backside opposite the front door, you will find several windows also coming from the dining room, kitchen and master bedroom.
On the front side of the home you have several more windows coming out of both the secondary bedroom, as well as, the living room. There you will also find a small porch leading up to the front door.
The only thing that I could think about while walking around the outside of this home was extending the porch around to meet the bigger porch. That way I’d have this huge wrap around outdoor living space.
Loft and Attic
Stepping through the front door you will catch a glimpse of your great big living room with a huge ceilings. Directly in front of the doorway is a set of stairs that leads up to the loft and attic space.
At the top of the stairs, you will find a landing with plenty of room to put a great big work station. This would be a great place to use as a reading nook or turn it into a little office area. It’s a peaceful sanctuary that offers magnificent views down to the room below.
Also up here, past the loft, through a doorway, you will find an unfinished attic space. This space can be used for a number of things including storage or you could always have it finished off if you wanted to. It’s approximately 572 square feet (give or take) and it is already prepped for water and electricity.
Going back downstairs and turning the corner past the banister, you open up into this awe inspiring great room. It has a massive cathedral ceiling and exposed wood beams, with a beautiful chandelier hanging down over the top of it all. The great room consists of both the living room, as well as, the dining room.
To the right hand side, there is the living room. The living room has ample windows providing plenty of light, as well as, the sliding glass door that gives access out onto the porch.
On the opposite side of the great room is the dining room. Again, surrounded by plenty of windows, it has enough room to put a massive dining room table. The dining room also has a sliding glass door offering access out onto the porch.
Dividing these two spaces, is this magnificent fireplace with a stone surround and wood mantle. It soars up to the ceiling, offering plenty of space to mount a TV or any other form of decoration you can come up with. DEFINATELY my favorite part!
Just off of the dining room, you’ll find the kitchen. On the dining room side, there is a raised bar coming off of the peninsula that offers several spaces for stools. Stepping into the kitchen itself, you will see a horseshoe shaped countertop.
There are plenty of cabinets and drawers and the sink sits in the middle looking out of a side window. To the left of the sink sit the stove and built in microwave. I absolutely love that all the cabinets in the kitchen are hickory! It just gives an even warmer, earthier tone to the house.
Next to the kitchen you will find a doorway. This doorway can be a number of things including; the stairwell down into your basement if you opted to have a basement type foundation or it could also serve as a pantry should you have a crawl space.
From the kitchen, you start working your way down the hall towards the back of the home where the bedrooms and bathrooms are. But before you get there, to the right, you will come to utility room. Here, there are washer and dryer hookups, along with the back door and furnace.
At the end of the hall, you will come to the master suite. The main bedroom portion of the master suite is quite large measuring in at approximately 13ft 8in X 13ft 3.5in. It offers plenty of room for a large king size bed, as well as, dressers and night stands. The cedar accents are also brought into this room in the form of beams running across the ceiling. Just something a little extra to help give it that more rustic cozy feel.
To the left of the bedroom are two doorways. The first door leads into a really nice sized walk-in closet and past that is the doorway into the en-suite. The en-suite features a large double vanity with a medicine cabinet off to the side.
It also has a large standalone shower with tile surround. To the back of the bathroom you will find a linen closet, as well as, the toilet, which is kind of hidden around the corner.
Secondary Bedroom and Bath
Just outside of the master bedroom, you will find the secondary bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom has a single vanity and a shower and tub combo.
The bedroom, which sits up towards the front of the house, is again another large size almost as big as the master suite itself. However, slightly smaller measuring in at approximately 13ft 8in X 10ft 7in. Still plenty of room for a large size bed and plenty of other furniture. It has a large window that lets in a whole bunch of natural light and a nice size step in closet on the opposite wall.
