I had the opportunity to tour this model while on a filming trip to Colorado. This particular model is in Calhan, Colorado at Accolade Homes. BonnaVilla Homes have quickly become one of my favorite modular home builders. They have a whole bunch of designs that are easily customizable to fit your needs. The “Ironwood” happens to be one of the coolest (I think).

So, the outside of this amazing ranch style modular home is very beautiful. It has plenty of windows trimmed out in white as well as a nice gray vinyl siding. Over the doorway, you will find two gables, both featuring board and batten siding. This just gives a little extra texture to the front of the home.

As you work your way around to the left-hand side of the home, you will find a doorway that leads into a gigantic utility room. Here in the rendering, they  show this home with a three-car garage that leads into this area of the home.

I think that looks amazing and it gives this modular home a little bit of extra curb appeal also. As you work your way around to the back of the home, you will find a sliding glass door leading out of the dining room, as well as several more windows looking into both the kitchen, utility room and bathroom.

Living Room

As you step inside of BonnaVilla Homes “Ironwood”, you are immediately greeted with the living room. This amazing living room features a coffered ceiling with exposed beam accents and an open floor design, which just looks really nice. There are three big windows sitting on the front side of the house looking out into the front yard. These windows definitely help brighten the room up and just make it feel super cozy.

The living room is rather large with plenty of room for any number of furniture arrangements and does have perfect spot for TV along the back wall. Along the side of the living room, as you first walk in, you will notice a peculiar banister poking out from the side of the wall.

This is actually an optional stairwell down into a basement, should you have that type of foundation. It is unique, and I have not seen anything like this in any modular home that we’ve ever toured.

Kitchen

From the living room, you can easily transition into the phenomenal kitchen. In the middle of the kitchen, there’s great big Island with a raised bar that has seating for three. And then as the countertop on the island drops down, there is plenty of workable counter space. The island has cabinets on both the living room side as well as the kitchen side, offering plenty of storage.

The main kitchen counter is an “L” shape. Along the back wall there are plenty of upper cabinets as well as lower cabinets, a beautiful tile backsplash, a stainless sink and a wonderful window looking out into the back of the home. On the far side, you will find a stove with a built-in microwave sitting just above it. Right next to that (get ready for this!) there are two additional stoves that are built-in to the wall, sitting one above the other! 3 STOVES! So, if you are looking to cook a big ole dinner, this kitchen is for you!

There is plenty of space to do it and you are not going to run out of any oven room when you are cooking all that incredible food. Just remember t invite me over! Next to that you will find a magnificent walk-in pantry, which is kind of hidden behind the door that looks like cabinets. It actually got me… I thought they really were cabinets because they just looked so cabinetee.

Dining Room

To the left of the kitchen, you will find the dining room. It is very beautiful and does have the sliding glass door leading out onto what I would imagine would be your back porch or patio in the future. Here you will find plenty of room for a large dining room table. It also has space behind the table to put either a hutch or some type of buffet to highlight any of your finer dinnerware.

Secondary Bedrooms and Bathroom

Beyond the dining room you start moving down the hallway towards both secondary bedrooms and the bathroom. The first doorway that you come to is on the left and it is the first of the secondary bedrooms.

These rooms are nice sizes  and this first one measures in an approximately 10ft 0in X 14ft 0in. It has a nice window looking out into the front of the home that also provides additional lighting to the room. Along the sidewall you will also find a nice step in closet with some slider doors.

Immediately next to that you will find the second, secondary bedroom. It also sits on the front side of the home. This one measures in at the exact same dimensions and it also has a beautiful window helping to brighten up the space.

Across the hall from the two bedrooms, is the secondary bathroom. This bathroom features a single vanity and a shower and tub combo. It also has a doorway that leads immediately into the laundry room.

I love this because any kids that utilized the bathroom can take all their dirty clothes straight into the laundry room. You do not have to worry about having close strewn about the house.

Utility Room

Moving down to the end of the hall, past the bedrooms, is the other entrance into the utility room. Here is the side door that we discussed on the exterior of the home, as well as, a great big countertop that features a nice big washbasin and plenty of counter space.

Plenty enough that you can fold clothes. The utility room also houses a great big linen closet, the furnace and water heater also.

Master Suite

Now since this is a split bedroom floor plan, on the opposite side of the house, sitting in between both the kitchen and the living room, is the doorway into the master bedroom. The master bedroom also sits up on the front side of the home with two great big windows and plenty of space for either a large king size or queen size bed. As far as the dimensions, it measures in at approximately 15ft 0in X 11ft 3in.

Just off the master bedroom you will enter into the en-suite. The en-suite has a large double vanity with built in cabinets on either side going almost all the way up to the ceiling. Just opposite the vanity, is the door for the water closet, which houses is just a standalone toilet. At the back of the en-suite there is a beautiful walk-in shower with the tile surround.

It has a rainfall showerhead a normal shower head making it the perfect spot to get in, relax and wash the day away. Then finally, all the way at the back of the en-suite is a great big walk-in closet. It has plenty of room for a tremendous amount of clothes and you could probably even put a dresser in here too, if you wanted to free up that space in the bedroom.
